A Native African prayer for peace
Almighty God, the Great
Thumb we cannot evade to
tie any knot;
the Roaring Thunder that splits mighty trees:
the all-seeing Lord up on high who sees
even the footprints of an antelope on
a rock mass here on Earth.
You are the one who does
not hesitate to respond to our call.
You are the cornerstone of peace.

In solemnity and clear mind let us prepare ourselves for a beautiful journey of relaxation and healing for our bodies and spirits.
Feel this energy of relaxation and healing entering your body slowly, slowly making all your organs and muscles relax! Feel this heavy baggage you accumulated through your existence falling off your shoulders! Let your legs, your arms and your hands relax! You are now ready to start your trip!
See now a beautiful and shining white energy coming towards you, it wraps all around you and slowly you are lifted higher and higher. See yourself going through many layers of coloured energies, energies that uplift and revitalise every part of your body and soul.
First you go through a magnificent red coloured band. This red energy makes you strong and full of vitality, ready to face your life.
As you leave the red coloured energy band you now slowly enter in a fantastic orange coloured band. As this energy penetrates your body it gives you hope and certainty that everything you do and everything you will do will always be for your own good, or your own best.
You now exit from the orange band and you start entering a sparkling yellow coloured band. As this energy fills your body it shows you what a beautiful soul you are; it tells you that you have inside you a small part of God and you can change your life in a way that will bring you happiness and joy!
You feel very proud of yourself and you want to continue this beautiful journey! As you leave the yellow band you start entering a magnificent green one. As this energy wraps all around you, you feel filled with love, serenity and peace! You are now completely revitalised by heavenly love, you feel a completely new person!
Suddenly now a golden door appears in front of you. With curiosity you open the door and you see your Guide standing there waiting for you. With a great smile and a big hug he welcomes you to his level; he tells you that he has something very special organised for you and he asks you to follow him down a particular path.
He takes you to the animal kingdom; he shows you how they all live now in peace and harmony between them. They are all happy to see you amongst them. They all gather around you with love and respect. Look in their eyes, they are trying to talk to you, to tell you how much they love you and how much honoured they feel to be with you! Suddenly they step aside making a corridor in their midst. Look carefully now it is your loving pets that are running towards you, they all jump into your arms to express their thanks and gratitude for all you did for them.
In this special moment, a moment filled with love and compassion your thoughts of love and caring go to all your friends and loved ones who are sick, who need help and support and whose names are in our healing book! You want to help them too to experience the healing energies you have just experienced. You present them to the Guides and you ask that they extend to them too, these healing energies. Bring these friends in your mind now and send them your love and healing.
We thank you Loving Father for all the healing energies you have extended to all of us. We appreciate your help and we are grateful for that.
Your Guide now tells you that the time has come for you to return back to your world. You first say goodbye to your loving pets who came to be with you once again. You also thank all the animals who gathered around you and who gave you all their love and extended to you and all your friends and loved ones their healing energies. Your Guide now takes you by the hand and slowly, slowly guides you back through the path that will take you back to that golden door. There you say your goodbye’s, you give your guide a warm hug and you start your descend. You go through the green layer and then through the yellow followed by the orange and by the time you go through the red you find yourself back in this very hall. Slowly make your way to the seat you were sitting on and take a deep breath.
Feel your feet touching the ground, feel your hands resting on your laps, move your fingers and your toes and when you are ready open your eyes and welcome back.
A sense of a goose
Next Autumn, when you see geese heading south for the winter, flying in a "V" formation, you might consider what science has discovered as to why they fly that way. As each bird flaps its wings, it creates an uplift for the bird immediately following. By flying in a "V" formation, the whole flock adds at least 71 percent greater flying range than if each bird flew on its own.
People who share a common direction and sense of community can get where they are going more quickly and easily, because they are travelling on the thrust of one another.
When a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of trying to go it alone and quickly gets back into formation to take advantage of the lifting power of the bird in front.
If we have the sense of a goose, we will stay in formation with those people who are heading the same way we are.
When the head goose gets tired, it rotates back in the wing and another goose flies point.
It is sensible to take turns doing demanding jobs, whether with people or with geese flying south.
Geese honk from behind to encourage those up front to keep up their speed.
What message do we give when we honk from behind?
Finally - and this is important - when a goose gets sick or is wounded by gunshot, and falls out of the formation, two other geese fall out with that goose and follow it down to lend help and protection. They stay with the fallen goose until it is able to fly or until it dies; and only then do they launch out on their own, or with another formation to catch up with their own group.
If we have the sense of a goose, we will stand by each other like that.
An elderly couple talk in the evening:
“Honey, I’m so sorry that I let out my anger at you so often. How do you manage to stay so calm with my foul moods?”
“I always go and clean the toilet when that happens.”
“And that helps?”
“Yes, because I’m using your toothbrush.”
